John Locke was a famous English philosopher and physician. Due to this, he had control over the whole American History. He was born in August 29, 1632 in Wrington, Somerset and he died on October 28, 1704.   His whole life he lived to become one of the most influential people in England and he was also one of the most influential people of the 17th century. Before his death, he would earn the title as the Father of liberal philosophy. His father was a lawyer and a landowner and he fought on the Parliamentarian side when there was the English Civil War of the 1640s. One of the philosophies that im discussing here is the social contract which is when the government protects the people or when the government is put in place by the people. If the government does not protect the people, the people can replace it. For example, social contract is like if people give power to the government and the government protects peoples rights. If the government use or does something in the wrong way then that is when the people can replace it. The citizens would have to respect the society because they all live together. The moral and political rules of behavior started because there was an agreement that started between the individuals to organize the society. The people from the United States, made it to a point of Americas social contract just to demonstrates what the government does, or people when the government does not protect their rights, or to protect us. Today social contract is used as an American political system in American society. People choose to give or control this power. Also, it is used to keep people in peace and live happily and to build a society. Social contract for individuals in a state or nature. The contract is to have peace in the society. In addition, it has 2 rules that consist on making it a lot. The two terms were mutual defense of rights and mutual decision by deliberative assembly. Another philosophy is the separation of powers. The separation of powers society is a model for the governance of a state. The government divides into 3 branches and had their own responsibilities. Which was Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. It was separates the power to make it equal to improve society and make it better and then for the society would function better. The government branches are responsible to each other. There is a balance of power of the government branches. They prevented the 3 branches from getting power.
